One of my roots, as well as one of my passions, over the years has been video game music. I have devotedly listened to hundreds of soundtracks and one of my earliest experiences with dealing with music theory, notation, etc. came from finding MIDIs online of sequenced game tracks and looking through them in Finale to see what made them tick. As a product of this, a lot of my music–especially earlier efforts–sounds video-game-esque, and on my website are numerous examples of it. It’s still a very fun medium to compose in and I hope to continue doing it in the future.
